Punk is Dead

Punk is so dead. It died where I grew up in the early 90s. All the really hardcore looking kids that were actually straight-edge for the most part, disappeared. Those that were reckless and not so straight, OD’ed, are lost wandering the map somewhere, still hanging out at the same bars, or married with kids and straight-laced. I never thought I’d SEE punk rock again until I moved to California where the scene is mostly congested with teenage Mexicans.

Where are all the true no bullshit anarchist revolutionaries — who call out society’s foes and flaws — when we really need them? With gas prices at $4.25 a gallon, no true punker would shut the fuck up about it.
